Rosheen
founded in 1997 by singer-songwriter Lynn Vallières, the group now counts seven members, all of them blessed with a passion for celtic music. Rosheen has performed all over Québec and has made quite an impression at the Montreal International Celtic Music Festival. New France Festival and Québec City, under the Cultures de la Capitale banner, have propelled them pretty much everywhere on the Québec region territory.
Specialised in celtic music and dance, Irish Dancing Magazine (Ireland) and Keltika (Italy) who also include a compilation c.d. on which two of Rosheen’s pieces figure, have praised them profusely for their music. Rosheen’s music can be heard on such stations as RadioCelt.com (USA), LiveIreland.com (Ireland), Netscape@Plus and Galaxie (Canada). Jigs, reels and hellish polkas intertwined with bewitching ballads, Rosheen presents for the greatest enjoyment of the public a show that is festive and original. - website: www.rosheen.net
